Four of my FB posts were deleted this morning that did NOT violate FB’s  Terms of Service.  FB acts like  Nazi’s.  Is Zuckerberg a  Gestapo throw-back???

I use to only have one photo of my Great Great Grandpa Joe Healy, it was in a book tho but thanks to the internet I found another one :)

He’s the one in the headdress, on the right is his wife my great great grandma & their children, the older boy might be my great grandpa but i’m not sure…

Individuals having this disorder are characterized by at least 6 of the following 14 criteria (note that such individuals nearly always suffer from at least one of the delusions listed):

1. Inability to establish and maintain meaningful interpersonal relationships.

2. Inability to identify and express a range of feelings in oneself (typically accompanied by an inability to identify accurately the feelings of other people).

3. Inability to respond appropriately and empathically to the feelings and needs of close associates and intimates (often leading to the misinterpretation of signals from others).

4. Tends to use power, silence, withdrawal, and/or avoidance rather than negotiation in the face of interpersonal conflict or difficulty.

5. Gender-specific locus of control (belief that women are responsible for the bad things that happen to oneself, and the good things are due to one’s own abilities, achievements, or efforts).

6. An excessive need to inflate the importance and achievements of oneself, males in general, or both. This is often associated with a need to deflate the importance of one’s intimate female partner, females in general, or both.

7. The presence of any one of the following delusions: (a) the delusion of personal entitlement to the services of 1) any woman with whom one is personally associated, 2) females in general for males in general, 3) both of the above.; (b) the delusion that women like to suffer and to be ordered around (c) the delusion that physical force is the best method of solving interpersonal problems; (d) the delusion that sexual and aggressive impulses are uncontrollable in 1) oneself, 2) males in general, 3) both of the above; (e) the delusion that pornography and erotica are identical; (f) the delusion that women control most of the world’s wealth and/or power but do little of the world’s work; (g) the delusion that existing inequalities in the distribution of power and wealth are a product of the survival of the fittest and that, therefore, allocation of greater social and economic rewards to the already privileged are merited. (Note: the simultaneous presence  of several of these delusions in one individual is very common and frequently constitutes a profoundly distorted belief system).

8. A pronounced tendency to categorize spheres of functioning and sets of behavior rigidly according to sex, e.g., belief that housework is women’s work.

9. A pronounced tendency to use a gender-based double standard in interpreting or evaluating situations or behavior (e.g., a man who makes breakfast sometimes is considered to be extraordinarily good, but a women who sometimes neglects to make breakfast is considered deficient).

10. A pathological need to affirm one’s social importance by displaying oneself in the company of females who meet any three of the following criteria: (a) are conventionally physically attractive: (b) are younger than oneself (c) are shorter in stature than oneself; (d) weigh less than oneself; (e) appear to be lower on socioeconomic criteria than oneself; (f) are more submissive than oneself.

11. A distorted approach to sexuality, displaying itself in one or both of these ways: (a)a pathological need for flattery about one’s sexual performance and/or the size of one’s genitalia;

(b) an infantile tendency to equate large breasts on women with their sexual attractiveness.

12. A tendency to feel inordinately threatened by women who fail to disguise their intelligence.

13. Is unable to derive pleasure from doing things for others.

14. Emotionally uncontrolled resistance to reform efforts that are oriented toward gender equity: (a) the tendency to consider oneself a “New Man” neither proves nor disproves that the patient fits within this diagnostic category; (b) patients who fit this description should _not_ be diagnosed as having obsessive-compulsive disorders, since obsessive-compulsive disorders affect only a limited part of the personality and functioning, whereas this disorder is pervasive and profound, and maladaptive organization of the entire personality.

Incidence: By far most commonly seen in males but occasionally present in females. Tends to characterize leaders of traditional mental health professions, military personnel, executives of large corporations, and powerful political lead- ers of many nations but can be found in all social strata and religious and ethnic groups.

Note: In keeping with the stated aims of the DSM, the proposed category is atheoretical, but there is little or no evidence that it is biologically based. In fact, there is a great deal of evidence that it is an extremely common disorder that involves a great deal of psychological upset both to the patient and to those with whom the patient deals. There is also evidence that the disorder is socially-induced and, therefore that individual psychotherapy and group therapy are useful.

As an example, it is generally recognized among clinicians working with male perpetrators of wife battering, rape, and incest — many of whom fit the description of the Delusional Dominating Personality Disorder — that group treatment can be very helpful when it includes identification of the patient’s problems and provision of a milieu in which different values and interpersonal styles are promoted. There is also some evidence that the younger the patient when such treatment is begun, the better the prognosis.

Rev. Philip Carrington, Anglican Archbishop of Quebec, sent local clergymen into a huddle today by saying outright that there was nothing to support Sunday being kept holy.

Carrington defiantly told a church meeting in this city of straight-laced Protestantism that tradition, not the Bible, had made Sunday the day of worship.

He quoted the biblical commandment which said the seventh day should be one of rest, and then stated: “That is Saturday.”

“Nowhere in the Bible is it laid down that worship should be done on Sunday,” the Archbishop told a hushed, still audience.

Genesis says that God rested on the saturday and blessed it
and said let it be a sign of rest between me and man

Throughout my life, laws that make plants, of any kind, illegal has seemed like blasphemy against God. Yet, one can comfortably use man made items such as alcohol legally. My point is if “it” would be here if man had never been here, then “it” was intended by God. Certainly, alcohol and prescription drugs would NOT be here if man had not been here! From a Christian perspective, it should defy reason to go against the WILL OF GOD, in favor of the sanctions of man……as in Genesis, I say to you, as God said to Adam, “Who told you that?” You know who told you that……….yeah, ya’ do! The trickster is at work!

Dogfighting, I think its cultural. I have spent much time in the black community. The interpretation of the christian concept of DOMINION over animals is sound. That belief system says one can wear them, eat them, kill them, use them for sport, or love and care for them. ALL is acceptable because in scripture the lord thy god said so.

Further, this is taught father to son. I must add that such is a learned religion, and not one these africans brought with them. My memory goes back to about age 3-4. Some of my earliest memories in Mississippi was cockfighting, often to the death. Also, dogfighting, often to the death. I saw the whole range of adulthood involved in such. I often heard”they’re just animals, they don’t have souls”, from an early age.In that community, YOUR sense of morality would be against scripture. The local church officials would have supported such as sport. Additionally, every kid, my self included, got a bb gun by age 6. I got mine at 5. No one got targets! We were encouraged to practice by slaying birds, for sport. Such was widespread. I know it still exist today, throughout Dixie, and not just blacks. All feel its a scripture given right, so morality is not an issue.

My personal opinions are much removed from such scripture interpretation, but it IS in scripture!! I, however take dim view of people who keep caged birds, penned dogs, AND ESPECIALLY HOUSE DOGS. Caging ANY animal is, both, cruel and un-natural. There are those who rail against dogfighting, but keep a dog imprisoned in their home. Both are cruel in my view. DOGS SHOULD LIVE OUTSIDE, PERIOD! I own no caged animals, have not in 40 years. Honestly, I don’t believe anyone ever told him that dogfighting is bad. No one in my family, school life, and church-life EVER told me that dogfighting, cockfighting, catfighting, or fishfighting was wrong. NEVER!

On another note, to further look at the culture. Everyone in that culture beats their kids. I have never hit my kids! I have been encouraged to do so by well meaning people because of scripture, spare the rod, and spoil the child. My kids will be spoiled.

Having said all that, I will remain a Mike Vick fan, because my personal experiences tell me to believe him. I will also remain friends with those who think nothing of letting, Siamese fighting fish fight to the death while betting on the winner. I will remain friends with people who think nothing of caging birds. I will remain friends with people who own apartment dogs that are only outside twice a day to urinate, and defecate . And, alas, I will remain friends with those who spank their kids. All the forestated conflicts with my sense of morality. You may disagree with my narrow stance. It is MY stance. I do not project it onto others to the extent that I shun them for not. I will not ostracize them, for what I believe is their immorality. Accordingly, I will not shun Michael Vick.

Some people write that Lincoln supported the abolition of slavery but
Davis was a racist. If you read Lincoln’s first inaugural address from
1861, you will discover that Lincoln supported a bill that would have
given the South a way to stay in the Union with slavery protected by a
Constitutional amendment. If the South’s only intention in seceding from
the Union was to keep their slaves, wouldn’t they have accepted such a
deal? **A little Truth here!**

Under Saddam Hussein, they were a privileged group, protected and left to worship as they wished.

Since U.S. troops toppled Saddam in April and Iraq cascaded into lawlessness, they have taken refuge behind high walls and closed their house of prayer. One Muslim cleric has made death threats against them and they say they fear for their future.

They are the 34 Jews of Iraq.

“I speak the truth: Saddam Hussein was good to us,” said Tawfik Safer, 80, outside the now locked doors of Baghdad’s last synagogue.

“I think it was because we had nothing to do with politics,” he said on Monday in the courtyard of the synagogue, a plain building but for Hebrew script at the entrance and anonymously surrounded by high walls.

Safer has seen a thriving community that traced its roots back to the Babylon of biblical times, whittled to below three dozen, most of them old and frail like himself. There is little prospect of new births.

Saddam fired Scud missiles at Israel in the 1991 Gulf War and gave money to families of Palestinian suicide bombers.

But the Jews of Baghdad, left behind by tens of thousands who departed for Israel over the past half-century, were afforded the direct telephone number of an Iraqi state security officer they could call if anyone bothered them.

“We did our fasting. We celebrated Passover. We read our religious books. Then the war came and the synagogue was closed because of the circumstances,” Safer said.

There has been no trouble since Baghdad fell on April 9, said Mohammed Jasim, 30, caretaker of the building, which was put up in 1942 in what is now a largely Christian neighbourhood.

But around Iraq suspicion comes easily, of minorities all the more so. One notable Shi’ite cleric last week issued a decree, or fatwa, forbidding followers from selling land to Jews and promised death to any Jew who bought real estate.

DWINDLING NUMBERS

Whatever the ill intentions of others may bring, migration and the simple march of time may end Jewish history in Iraq.

The Jewish Agency for Israel, which arranges immigration, has sent an envoy to Baghdad to make first contact.

The envoy, who spent three days in Baghdad two weeks ago visiting some of the 34 people the Agency says have presented themselves as Jews, found there were no children among them – the last Jewish wedding in the city was in 1978.

Safer and two Iraqi Jews of the younger generation, Khalida and Nidal Saleh, sisters in their late 30s, said they had not heard from the agency but in any case they would not leave.

“I want to live here. We were born in Iraq,” Khalida said.

Iraq’s Jews trace their roots to the capture of Jerusalem nearly 2,600 years ago by King Nebuchadnezzar. He sent Jews to his capital Babylon, 100 km (60 miles) south of Baghdad, making it the cultural centre of the Jewish world for almost 1,000 years.

Before the creation of the state of Israel in 1948, Iraq still had a vibrant Jewish community – some 280,000 people by Safer’s recollection. Nearly half that number settled in the newly created Israel. Others went to Europe or America.

Safer walks in slow motion with two canes and greeted a reporter in pyjamas and sandals. When asked about the days before 1948, he opened his eyes wide and smiled.

“There were 75 synagogues in Baghdad alone!” he said.

President Hugo Chavez through CITGO donated $21 million to approximately 220 tribal communities in 13 states so tribes were able to provide financial assistance to their tribal members for heating expenses. According to CITGO, the company initially provided discounted home heating oil and expanded its program to include direct financing……tell me how much did American oil companies contribute? Anything at all? ZIP, Nada…

The Mujahideen, with the aid of American ground-to-air missiles and intelligence,  were able to inflict a humiliating defeat on the Soviets. Ronald Reagan funded them with waves of money and arms. They are now using our “Arms gifts” to them against OUR troops today. In Reagan’s world, the Mujihideen were freedom fighters who deserved his support. Yet, once in power, Reagans Freedom Fighters installed a Saudi inspired backward looking fundamentalist state where the rights of women were non-existant. The double irony of President Reagans policy in this area is that one of the Mujihideen was Osama Bin Laden whose followers crashed passenger planes into the Twin Towers and into the Pentagon.

Well, Papa, thanks for the spiritual apology. Can we address the action that native people really deserve? THEY NEED TO GET THE MONEY BACK THAT “YOU” TOOK! “You” took furs, silver, opals, diamonds, gold, pearls and every other thing that was considered valuable. You had excellent accounting records. You know EXACTLY how much you took from each place. GIVE IT BACK! Give substance to the apology. When we tour the Vatican and we see all the “shiny things”, we are only seeing small pieces of California, Florida, Colorado, Georgia, Mexico, Bolivia, Alaska, Quebec, Arizona, Dakota , and hundreds of other places robbed by the civilized visitors. GIVE ALL THE SHINY THINGS BACK!!!! They are needed at Pine Ridge Native American Reservation. They are needed in Bolivia. They are needed in Haiti. Do something CHRISTIAN - give it all back.
